Members Rawhide Posted June 11, 2008 Members Report Posted June 11, 2008 Here is the notebook I posted pictures of a couple of weeks ago. I finished it with several coats of neatsfoot oil, Sheridan RTC Resist (one coat), and Sheridan Brown Antique paste (one application). Comments and critiques always welcome. The first pic is of the entire notebook, and the second is of the lacing detail. Thanks, Marlon Quote Marlon

Members GampasShop Posted June 11, 2008 Members Report Posted June 11, 2008 You did a great job on the tooling, but that lacing is WWWOOOWWW. Where did you come up with the instructions for the lacing? That looks really neat with the offsetting colors. Quote
Ambassador pete Posted June 11, 2008 Ambassador Report Posted June 11, 2008 really nice job! What are the dimensions and did you draw the pattern? Also, how wide is the lace and what is your lace hole measurements beauty!!!! pete Quote
David Posted June 11, 2008 Report Posted June 11, 2008 Marlon, Very, very well done. I love the color and the fact that you went with the angled slit and not holes..... very impressive. The bi-color lacing is well done also of course. I'm very impressed with your tooling. You have quite a command of your tools. Super.... David Theobald Quote

I used Chan Geer's pattern drawing instructions to get the ideas. The lace is 3/32" wide and I used an 8 stitch per inch wheel spacer and punched each slit with a lacing nipper.
