Just finish making this one. No metal parts but a lot more work.

What do you think? I am wondering.... what type of closure do you prefer?

Thank you.

Very good looking pouch and good use of the stamping tools. Cunning use of the ropestamp close to the stitching grove, when viewed with the normal eye it looks like the stitching continues up over the flap wich gives a better overall look (I think).

I agree with Alex and Luke on the enclosure and like to add for myself that often I get hung up over how hard it is to find the right hardware for these things and forget the obvious.

Think I'll just print this post and hang it up over my workingtable.

I like it. There is something about a functional leather item without all the fancy hardware that makes it all the more special. Way to go.

i really like it. i get more ideas from you guys than i can keep up with. I think the stamping is great. I'm still learning to do that with some of my projects. It's harder than it looks. Well for me anyways.

singteck,

This is one fine piece of craftmanship ! ! !

Is it lined, if not is it dyed on the inside, wondering how it's black on the inside.

I realy like the pouch. Can't wait to see the next one.

Great for insperation !

Thank you.

The inside is dyed black.

Here's another version in brown.

Made this to try out my new airbrush set up. The whole pouch was hand dyed using a brush with tan dye and then the middle section airbrushed with brown dye.

The airbrush uses 1% of the normal dye amount to cover the surfaces evenly. But there is hardly any penetration. That's why I still hand dyed it and used the airbrush for special effect.

Can you say how you have sewn the edges together. Are they Hand Sewn?

They are hand sewn. The side butts to the front and back and stitched using the box stitch.

Cheers

I have been wanting to try my hand at using an airbrush. What kind do you have? I like the way the finish on your pouch turned out.

I used an Aztec double action. Can't remember what's the model number thought. It's one of those with a plastic body and interchangeable nozzle.
