Abram Report post Posted March 29, 2012 Here are my attempts at making a defender style holster. It was fun and challenging and I can't wait to do another one.
Dwight Report post Posted March 29, 2012 They look good frome here, . . . it may have just been the angle that the pictures were taken, . . . but the leather you used for the front piece that wraps: what weight of leather is that? Reason I asked, . . . it looks a bit on the hefty side, . . . but just may be the picture angle. Anyway, . . . good looking work. May God bless, Dwight
Abram Report post Posted March 29, 2012 Dwight, I used 8-9 ounce for the entire holster, it was all I had at the time. I may try another one using some thinner leather. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks
Haystacker Report post Posted March 29, 2012 Nice job. i like your wrap piece covering so much in the front. For what it is worth I use 7/8 ounce leather.
Eaglestroker Report post Posted March 29, 2012 Looks very nice. On the full length reinforcement, I might kick the toe in to match the stitching line of the holster. Just a thought!
