post-29681-044908200 1334759803_thumb.jpAussie hybrid. Built on a Laporte Stockman tree with semi quarter horse bars and cable rigged. I play Polocrosse and wanted a better fitting saddle.post-29681-044908200 1334759803_thumb.jp Edited by rufusjames

It appears that you have done a really nice job. The proof is in the use. As you use it you will know what you may want change in the next , and next , and so on. As for your work, it looks really good , especially for a first. It was fun wasn't it?

Thanks for the kind words. Yes it was fun. More than fun. I am starting on #2 this week. I will post progress pics of that one if anyone is interested. The saddle will be tested on Saturday in a 25 mile endurance race in Denver.

Looks GREAT!!!! I love endurance type saddles as well as Aussie saddles. Love the rough out. So the big question.............How much does it weigh????

Saddle weighs 24 lbs. with the aluminum stirrups. Its being ridden in the Kenlyn Urban challenge in Denver this weekend. I will be making an endurance version soon and hope to get the weight down even more. This one is my Polocrosse saddle.
