Members Zonker Posted April 23, 2012 Members Report Posted April 23, 2012 (edited) This one is going out to the customer this week. He drums in a band and wanted something for on stage. And here's a side view from before the band was attached. Edited April 23, 2012 by Zonker Quote

Members Zonker Posted April 23, 2012 Author Members Report Posted April 23, 2012 Panther the skull and die are from a patch the customer sent me. Kevin the hat is part Tany pattern part a pattern I made befor discovering the tandy pattern. I made the sides of the crown taller and a little longer but essentially tandy but the top is round and bigger the tandy one is oval. I sized the brim up a bit to deal with the larger brim size and balance it out. On the brim I flared it over a vase my wife has at the top a little. Quote
Members Aurelie Posted May 2, 2012 Members Report Posted May 2, 2012 terrific! now i have to make one for myself! a tip about the weight of leather you use? Quote
Members Zonker Posted May 2, 2012 Author Members Report Posted May 2, 2012 3-4 oz on the sides to save weight 5- 6 on the brim and top to add rigidity Quote

Members Studio Apocalypse Posted May 3, 2012 Members Report Posted May 3, 2012 What did you use to color the flames dye/paint? the gradient looks spot on! Quote
Members Zonker Posted May 3, 2012 Author Members Report Posted May 3, 2012 I used the airbrush and Auto color(I believe) first I laid down white then a silver glitter then airbrushed transparents(because I would have had to order candies). Then super sheen on top of that. Quote
Members Zonker Posted May 3, 2012 Author Members Report Posted May 3, 2012 Auto Air not Auto color Quote
