Members shirleyz Posted July 26, 2008 Members Report Posted July 26, 2008 Finished this last night. Going to dye it tan, and offer to dye it black if the winner requests it. I quite like how it turned out. ShirleyZ Quote

Roger Posted July 26, 2008 Report Posted July 26, 2008 (edited) came out great shirley. for the life of me i can't figure out why you would even suggest black! i do everything i can not to dye seats black. it would just kill that one for sure Edited July 26, 2008 by Roger Quote
Members shirleyz Posted July 26, 2008 Author Members Report Posted July 26, 2008 I just think that it might make it more appealing to sell tickets. black goes with a lot more paint jobs. Quote
Members Tpsorion Posted July 26, 2008 Members Report Posted July 26, 2008 Very nice and great detail. Quote
Contributing Member ClayB Posted July 26, 2008 Contributing Member Report Posted July 26, 2008 Going to dye it tan, and offer to dye it black if the winner requests it. Did I miss something? How do you get a chance to win it? (since I guess I didn't buy enough tickets to win the last one!) I really like it natural. I think black is going to hide a lot of the detail, and there is a lot to see if you study what you did. Clay Quote
Members shirleyz Posted July 26, 2008 Author Members Report Posted July 26, 2008 I'm not sure how they are going to do it. I'm just dropping it off at the local HD, dealer and they are going to raffle it off for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, here in Vegas. Apparantly, there will be flyers in the various bike stores in town advertising it. Shirley Quote
Moderator Johanna Posted July 27, 2008 Moderator Report Posted July 27, 2008 I'd be willing to paint my bike if I won that seat. Good job, Shirley- Johanna Quote

Members CitizenKate Posted July 27, 2008 Members Report Posted July 27, 2008 I love it! I've been playing with some paisley designs myself, inspired by some work I saw from Verlane Desgrange a couple years back, and yours really hits the spot. Spot-on, as the Brits would say! Kate Quote
David Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 Beautiful Shirley, And a worthy cause too. I hope it raises a ton of money. Dave Quote
Members Sawyer Posted July 27, 2008 Members Report Posted July 27, 2008 Awesome Looking Seat !! I'm not much on black seats either, unless they're stock Naugahyde. That seat would look killer any color, excellent job! Good Luck with the raffle Quote
Members jammon Posted July 28, 2008 Members Report Posted July 28, 2008 Outstanding work, the detail is awesome. Quote
Members Spider Posted July 29, 2008 Members Report Posted July 29, 2008 Shirley, I would give you a BIG high five for this one. I think black will make it look like a bandana for sure. Very nice. Quote

Members John D Dennehy Posted August 6, 2008 Members Report Posted August 6, 2008 Brilliant! Since I have never seen the like on leather before I think it is just fantastic. Great job Shirley! I hope it doesn't get dyed black. Quote

Members TroyS Posted August 6, 2008 Members Report Posted August 6, 2008 Beautiful work Shirley! That is one outstanding seat! I think it would look awesome with a Timber Brown base stain and the paisley's all done in Black or Mohoganny to show the detail! Quote
Bree Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 Absolutely beautiful work. It will look stunning once it is finished. What was your total time spent tooling and total time for the entire project, if you don't mind my asking? Quote
Members shirleyz Posted August 12, 2008 Author Members Report Posted August 12, 2008 Absolutely beautiful work. It will look stunning once it is finished. What was your total time spent tooling and total time for the entire project, if you don't mind my asking? Took me about four days to tool it, because I had to keep walking away from it. It got a little monotonous. Shirley Quote
Members BradB Posted August 12, 2008 Members Report Posted August 12, 2008 That is awesome! Black is my favorite color but I would have to say black would not do this justice. Will this auction be available on the internet?? Where does everyone get there seat pans? Quote
