Yeah if i tried it with cold water.. it would be the first and last chance i get. I think i am going to go with a duck tape pattern to form the cups. Once i get the form. i will need to fill the cups with something so that they can with stand the leather forming. Now i ask you, what is an easy (read here inexpensive)medium to fill/cast the empty cups. You guys/Gals are great thanks for all your ideas Billy Quote
Members IanCantwell Posted July 30, 2008 Members Report Posted July 30, 2008 Do you have resin? We have a hobbycraft store that sells a resin to make paperweights. To cut down on the quantity mix with a cheap filler, a local concrete ornament manufacturer using fine polystyrene beads in his mix to reduce weight and expensive (double taxed) stone. Quote
ArtS Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 How about using a softball, baseball or mellon - depends on her size, to fill the bra. It doesn't have to be a perfect form fit does it? Ambassador broncobuster Posted July 30, 2008 Ambassador Report Posted July 30, 2008 If ya go in Ebay you can get these display forms there usually only like 20.00 or less. unless ya need specific size. Bronc Quote
ArtS Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 How are they listed? You could always buy one and then pad it with tape to make it bigger. ArtS Quote Art Schwab "You cannot teach a man anything. You can only help him discover it within himself." – Galileo Galilei

Members Windy Posted July 30, 2008 Members Report Posted July 30, 2008 I reckon if I were going to make a mold for a bra cup I would use the expandable foam for insulating your house. It comes in two different types. One expands three times its volume ,it comes in a red can at your local Lowe's or that crappy orange place. The other type expands less and I am not sure what color can it comes in since I only use the red can. You can shape it once it drys with files, rasps, knives or knifes depending on what part of Kentucky you are from. I can tell you that it does not last long in the can once you spray it unless you clean the orifice really well. I try to find places I need to insulate whenever I am making something out of the foam. Like around windows that are drafty and doors. Just be careful since it has been known to expand enough to push off the door and window trim. If you have no other use for it, it also works for filling in under your boat seats on small Jon boats and the like. Or you can make fake rocks , of course you have cover them with a layer of bondo then paint them. Alas here I am rambling on. Members custom79 Posted July 30, 2008 Members Report Posted July 30, 2008 I agree with ArtS. You should be able to use some type of ball or melon to get a size/shape idea. They have styrofoam balls at craft stores as well. Looks like a great project, but being a cowboy in another life, I don't think my pards would appreciate me showing up to a shoot in that kind of get-up! Cheers and a chuckle. C79 Quote
