I entered a few items I made at the county fair. Took a couple first place ribbons and class champion (best in show). I am excired.

Thanks for the kind words. No money for winning, just ribbons. It was fun entering stuff. Contests are great because they make me strive to do better work.

A few years back my photography teacher at the Community College entered a photo I took in Silver City, Idaho., in the Malheur County Fair. Got a blue ribbon and a $25 check.

Too bad they didn't surprise you with a nice little chunk of change.... still it is quite an honor to win those ribbons. You should frame them and put them on the wall.

I took first place on both (in seperaty catagories) but the one that took best of show was more flashy. The Bible cover was better, but the notebook caught you eye more.

I convinced a friend who is new to tooling (less than a year) to enter something too and she got a ribon for it. I am hoping it serves as motivation to keep her learning.
