I needed the encouragement, I have only been doing this for about a year and I am trying to get something going with it because i surely love to work with leather. Good luck to you. Don't be frustrated to early. It needs a little time to start earning money with leather. I'm doing this now for 6 years I think and just started to get more money than I spend for materials, fees for stalls at fairs etc. just got my first custom order for a belt and hope it will result in follow up orders With the quality of your carving after only one year of experience and the benefit of living in the USA you shoul be faster than me on a level where your hobby pays for itself. Members Horrrk Posted September 17, 2012 Members Report Posted September 17, 2012 Hi Jeremiah.. The koi really looks great.. I like the style of the design and the way you've tooled it, very much.. What type of colouring did you use and did you use a resist before adding the dye? Regards Phil Quote Being defeated isn't the worst thing in life..giving up, is..
Members jeremiahsavoy Posted September 17, 2012 Author Members Report Posted September 17, 2012 the colors are just Fiebing's alcohol-based dye, yellow, navy blue and russet. The purse itself is medium brown and i didn't use any resist, i just colored carefully by hand. Quote We must do the right things for the right reasons.
