Very nice! Love the colors, the flow, and the details.

Thanks yall! I needed the encouragement, I have only been doing this for about a year and I am trying to get something going with it because i surely love to work with leather.

Good luck to you. Don't be frustrated to early. It needs a little time to start earning money with leather. I'm doing this now for 6 years I think and just started to get more money than I spend for materials, fees for stalls at fairs etc. just got my first custom order for a belt and hope it will result in follow up orders :) With the quality of your carving after only one year of experience and the benefit of living in the USA you shoul be faster than me on a level where your hobby pays for itself.

Hi Jeremiah.. The koi really looks great.. I like the style of the design and the way you've tooled it, very much.. :)

What type of colouring did you use and did you use a resist before adding the dye?

Regards

the colors are just Fiebing's alcohol-based dye, yellow, navy blue and russet. The purse itself is medium brown and i didn't use any resist, i just colored carefully by hand.
