Notebook Cover And A Quick Leather Tool Cover

Two quick projects ... Made a 3x5 pocket notebook cover and a simple sheath to protect one of my leather knifes. I'm learning more and more with each completed project..

Anyone have a suggestion for terminating a saddle stitch.. Back stitch it and just trim short ?

I usually backstitch 2-4 times and trim short. Haven't had anything come loose yet!

When I terminate a saddle stitch, I always add a half stitch, so that both threads are on the back of the piece...after back stitching.

Very nice projects! For the saddle stitch, I usually back stitch 2-3 times and then do a half stitch so they both end up on back side of project.
