triage1998 Report post Posted February 12, 2013 (edited) Anyone have a lead on some nice black Chicago screws. I have the Nickel ones from Weaver Leather and that is the quality I am looking for. To bad they do not offer black in that quality of screw. I have ordered from 2 different places (http://www.mcmaster....-screws/=lg4uni and http://www.chicagosc...g=us&category=3) and and was not at all impressed with the quality at all. Shallow screw slot depth and if you over tighten it really messes up the finish and strips the slot heads. After spending $40.00 total at both places I am left with junk. The 5% unhappy, is they don't come short enough for just a few things I do, . . . wind up having to put a spacer somewhere, . . . one size shorter than their shortest would be a great help. George B Report post Posted February 13, 2013 I have been using the Tandy in 1/8" and 1/4" they work well. The only things I don't like are the dome head screws would rather have flat.
