stitchwizzard Report post Posted March 24, 2013 Whenever I make a new or custom item that needs a full scale protype, I make a pattern set from stiff felt. It sews and stitches nicely and holds a shape very well. It is also an economical way for me to test out my templates when it would otherwise involve a large piece of leather. Works so much better for this than cardboard sometimes. I may be the last to know this but I thought I'd share. Thanks, Stitch~

stitchwizzard Report post Posted April 3, 2013 Thank you! Here is an update on the felt prototype. I made my husband a new windshield bag for his Harley. The Stingray was a last minute idea and I double laced it to match the color scheme on his Harley. Thanks, Stitch~

David8386 Report post Posted April 4, 2013 Call panhandle leather in Amarillo Texas, they have a web site. But if you call they might have what you are looking for or know where to get it. Good people to deal with. I know they have a lot of boot making supplies. David
