Take the gloves off, and let 'er rip - (I know the saddlemakers see plenty - I had posted a pic earlier of detail on a saddlehorn, and I'd inadvertently flipped the thing around to get the best 'look', and forgot to check it out myself - the wrap was 'wrapped backwards' in the pic, but not on the real thing! Keith asked the question that all the saddlemakers that noticed it were wanting to but didn't - so now I make a note to check this as well when I save edited pix!)

Wow, you sure have a lot to say just to answer one question. :blahblahblah: Just kiddiing with you!

I'm sure if you post your pics in the Critique section, you will get what your asking for. Which is not a bad thing at all, if that's what your looking for.

I liked your comment about the wine....many so called wine experts couldn't tell the difference between cheap or expensive in a blind test expecially after having a few taste....

I just went to your site.

I tell you your work is REALLY IMPRESSIVE! That's the first time I saw the interiors. I don't see how you do it.

Fantastic work. You have me as a fan.

I'm actually a Margarita girl, myself....! As to having a lot to say - what do you expect?? I'm female - most of (not all!) us are this way - personally, I've found most men to be very similar to what Jeff Foxworthy has said in his dialogs - 'We are very simple creatures! Give us a beer and show us something 'Nekked'!' (Just teasing all of you guys out there...!)

Shelly,

I'm not a beer lover but I have to admit it that I'll go for the necked! LOL

Thank God you do have a lot to say! We'd just be sittin' here going duh. LOL

Your going to have this party by yourself if you think I'm getting into the mud with these hombreys. ;)

 Good to have you back, Jack. Keep posting those pics -- you've got some fans here who are always eager to see your stuff.

Jack- Kudos to you for another fine case! I really like the tooling that Ron did regardless of what others are posting. I can attest(having done a case for you) that I found it a real challenge to produce a pattern that was beautiful and flowing given the small spaces that I had to work with.

I think that if you posted another picture of a close-up with your hand in the foto, it would give folks a better idea as to how small the space is with which to work!

Great job to you and Ron.

Very nice case, I think the carving would have shown better on a lighter color case but you probably do as I do and make the product the color that the customer wants. Dark colors always seem to hide excellent carving. It would also appear that you and Shelly use very different weights of leather.

Shelly, I love the way you allowed the floral work to cover the undulating border. That's a very classy touch.

Thanks for the compliment - I agree that the darker the leather is, the harder it is to see the carving - I do enough carving on cutters that the owner wants a very dark oil finish to know that the darker it gets, the more 'invisible' it becomes...anyway, the one I'm working on now, will possibly post here if I can get some good pix - (rain forcast for the next few days), will have a dark finish, and it's similar to these...have to ship it pretty quick, so will see how it goes for pix. Got one right behind that is a floral border, with the space for the carved area 1 1/16" wide. Entire saddle will have this border - a repetitive pattern, but pretty, and the men seem to go for this one - not so 'feminine'...will see about posting those pix as well...again, it's a cutting saddle, and the required 'heavy oil finish'!
