Frank Posted April 2, 2013 Report Posted April 2, 2013 Been off here for a while again. Was down in Kentucky for a show. When I returned, I had these orders waiting to be started. Two single rigs and a double rig. Now I'm working on a Winchester model 94 take-down case. That should be an interesting one to do. Frank Quote
Members George B Posted April 2, 2013 Members Report Posted April 2, 2013 Looks real good Frank! My favorite thing to make is western and cowboy, unfortunately I mostly get concealed carry. Keep up the great work. Quote
Members Josh Ashman Posted April 2, 2013 Members Report Posted April 2, 2013 Those all look really nice Frank, great job! I'm excited to see the case for the 94, please post pictures! Have a great day, Josh Quote
Frank Posted April 2, 2013 Author Report Posted April 2, 2013 Thanks Guys. As soon as the case gets finished, I will be sure to post photos. The guy sent me the old canvas case for a pattern and it's a pretty simple design and should look great in leather. Frank Quote

Frank Posted April 4, 2013 Author Report Posted April 4, 2013 Thanks again. I just wish one of these days, someone would order a matching floral belt to go with the holsters. They go all out on the holsters, but never the belts for some reason or another. Quote
Members Craig44 Posted April 5, 2013 Members Report Posted April 5, 2013 Beautiful work! I may have to get a Schofield or #3 Russian just to make a holster for it. Quote
Members LederRudi Posted April 5, 2013 Members Report Posted April 5, 2013 Always a pleasure and very inspiring to look at your work! Quote
Members Eaglestroker Posted April 6, 2013 Members Report Posted April 6, 2013 I can't wait to see the case, I really like the combination of that border with the Mules foot. Wish I got more requests for it! Quote
Frank Posted April 8, 2013 Author Report Posted April 8, 2013 Thanks everyone. That border is just really nice, clean, and simple. I do like it quite a bit. I start on the case this week and should have it finished this week as well and will definitely post some photos. Quote
Members c2369zulu Posted April 8, 2013 Members Report Posted April 8, 2013 Your belts and holster look great! Wish my tooling turned out that nice. I am still trying to get the swivel knife and proper casing down. Do you cut the belt ends with the squared off tip by hand or do you have a punch for that? I like that style! I have looked for a punch with that type of taper with no luck........Rory Quote
Frank Posted April 8, 2013 Author Report Posted April 8, 2013 Thanks Rory. I cut all of the belt tips like that by hand. I have never seen a punch with a long taper like that. Frank Quote
Members paris3200 Posted May 9, 2013 Members Report Posted May 9, 2013 It is work like this that really makes me to want to try carving and stamping again. I've gotten very frustrated every time I've tried in the past. Absolutely beautiful work. Quote
Frank Posted May 10, 2013 Author Report Posted May 10, 2013 Thanks for the compliments. I can be pretty patient when it comes to stamping and carving. It just takes time to get the hang of...keep at it. Getting frustrated with it will ruin the project since at that point, you don't care anymore. I have had a few projects that frustrated me but when I hit that point, I moved on to a different order and came back to the other one when I had calmed down. I have done this several times back and forth throughout the building process in order to keep my cool. It seems to work for me. Quote
