Members TomG Posted December 1, 2013 Members Report Posted December 1, 2013 I need to make some custom links out of brass D-rings and round rings. Can anyone tell me the best way to weld the ends back together after I cut and link them? Thanks Quote

electrathon Posted December 1, 2013 Report Posted December 1, 2013 Generally you would braze it back together. Fast, simple and easy. Quote
Northmount Posted December 1, 2013 Report Posted December 1, 2013 Gas torch, often acetylene, maybe butane. Bronze rod with flux coating to limit oxidation and get a nice joint. Check your local welding supply shop. Tom Quote
Members TomG Posted December 1, 2013 Author Members Report Posted December 1, 2013 Thanks. I'll check my local welding supplier and see what they have. I haven't brazed anything since high school. Forgot all about that method. Quote
