Members Summitt Saddlery Posted December 30, 2013 Members Report Posted December 30, 2013 Anyone have a good scoped rifle saddle scabbard pattern? Quote
Members camano ridge Posted December 30, 2013 Members Report Posted December 30, 2013 Not sure how you define good. I have a couple I will look around and see if I can dig them up. Also Al stohlmans book Making cases I think it might be volume 3 has instructions and pattern for scoped rifle scabbard. There is also one in the May June 2010 Leather Crafters and Saddlers Journal. Members Matt S Posted December 31, 2013 Members Report Posted December 31, 2013 A large portion of Stohlman's third volume on case making is dedicated to gun scabbards and bags for a wide variety of guns. As usual I think it's better to look there as it teaches you how to develop and adapt patterns to your specific need rather than hoping to find exactly what you need already designed. Quote
Members SLudlow Posted January 2, 2014 Members Report Posted January 2, 2014 Volume 3 is quite good in that regard, though many require wooden forms. Tandy also sells a "stand alone" pattern set that is quite good. Quote
