bison Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 A client who purchased a leather portfolio is moving to a desert climate and asked me about conditioner for the leather. When I made it, I used Bee Natural #1 Saddle oil and finished with Wyosheen after antiquing. It's heavily carved, so I wouldn't want to recommend a paste, probably. What do you all suggest? Members Colt W Knight Posted January 13, 2014 Members Report Posted January 13, 2014 (edited) I live in the desert now(Tucson, AZ), and I have found that leather holds up much better here than it did when I lived in West Virginia. I think it has to do with steady climate instead of all the humidity and temp swings. I have used a variety of commonly available leather conditioners/oils since moving down here, and they have all worked just fine. I know what you mean about the paste stuff. I have to take a tooth brush to carved leather if I use a colored or pasty product. Edited January 13, 2014 by Colt W Knight Quote
