Here's a little case that I just finished. The tooling is based off of an old botanical illustration. I used calfskin for the lining this time around and applied the dye and tankote with an airbrush. I had planned to dye the lilies different colors but thought it looked nice as is. Let me know what you think.

I like the outside fine. Your stitching looks good and fine a fine job on the tooling. Inside is good too but that color is just too bright for me. B)

Sorry about the poor camera phone photos. The interior is your standard red and not crazy bright.

Very nice work David!

I love the concho, how the thread contrasts with the leather on the outside and the general simplicity and crispness of your tooling!

One question: is the leather on the inside veg tan and how did you treat the edges where they meet?

Keep up the good work!

The inside is veg tan calf skin. I sand the edges, bevel, wet and burnish with saddle soap and a piece of denim, dye and coat with tan kote. Eventually, I plan on getting a drill press and burnishing attachment.

I really, really, like your Lilly design, And your clean tooling is superb !!!!!

however, I'm not too excited about the interior, but your execution with lacing and clear airbrushing is very good.
