Members Josh Ashman Posted June 20, 2014 Members Report Posted June 20, 2014 Here are a couple of Mexican loop bowie knife sheathes that I recently built. Both are 10/11 HO from SLC, the darker one is finished with Fiebings liquid black antique and topped with M&G mixed 50/50 with water and the other is 2 coats of NF oil with some sun in-between and saddle soap. I was happy with how they both turned out and I wish that coffin handled Damascus bowie was mine! Thanks for looking, Josh Quote
Members camano ridge Posted June 20, 2014 Members Report Posted June 20, 2014 Josh, very nice sheaths. They compliment the knives very nicely. Quote

Members Josh Ashman Posted July 1, 2014 Author Members Report Posted July 1, 2014 Thanks Samalan and Bobby! I took your advice from back when and finally used a stud instead of a snap Bobby and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Thanks for giving sound advice! Quote
Frank Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 Thanks for the compliments Samalan. I didn't mean to hijack your thread there Josh...LOL Quote
Members Josh Ashman Posted July 30, 2014 Author Members Report Posted July 30, 2014 No worries Frank, I'm glad you posted yours. I have an order for another one and I'm thinking about trying some scallops on the edges like you did. That looks super sharp! Quote
