Colt W Knight Report post Posted July 8, 2014 Made this for a friend. This is my first painted leather project other than just painting letters white or black. The strap is 5 oz veg tan, with a soft deer skin sandwiching some purple felt. The purple felt and the deer skin make the strap so soft and cushiony, it feels like neoprene but soft as a baby's bottom. I may be using this more often. and the presentation bag - I have to admit, I started making felt bags for my leather work because I thought it was a nice way to present my work, but I am continuing doing it because I really like making felt bags.
