Members tboyce Posted August 26, 2014 Members Report Posted August 26, 2014 Hello All, I've designed a medium messenger bag for a member of my family and thought I would upload the template. It is in PDF format and can be printed out at any Kinkos or Office supply store that has large format printers. The print size is 36"X24". The final Bag will measure (inside) 12" x 9" x 3"Medium Messenger Bag.pdfAll of the hardware, (buckles and Dees) need to be 1" I tried to label every part that needed to be lebeled to make it as easy as possible to put together but if anyone has a question, shoot me a message and I'll try to answer itI hope someone can use it. This forum has given me a lot of useful information and I wanted to pay back where I couldRegards, Tom Boyce Quote

Members tboyce Posted August 26, 2014 Author Members Report Posted August 26, 2014 Not yet, I'm in the process of updating my shop which means that I've got the kids out of the house and my garage is finally clear of enough junk that I can get into some really serious leather work without having to make my wife angry by using our dining room table,I should be up and running in a couple of weeks and this is one of the first things I intend to make Quote

Members blue duck Posted August 26, 2014 Members Report Posted August 26, 2014 Tom that was a really nice thing for you to do. Some folks can make a pattern in their head, but then there are the rest of us. Nice job! Quote May God Smile on you today.
Members tboyce Posted August 26, 2014 Author Members Report Posted August 26, 2014 I've spent 35 years as an engineer so figuring out how things go together and putting them on plans is what I do Quote
Members blue duck Posted August 27, 2014 Members Report Posted August 27, 2014 Say Tom, if you don't mind, what do you use to get this pattern into a computer read format? Does that make any sense? I can build one with a pencil, awl and ruler, but that doesn't help anyone else. You obviously have a way with computers, what would you suggest for ease of use, since I am not all that computer literate, and since I am not trying to make anything off of it, something on the cheap. Quote May God Smile on you today.
