thefanninator Report post Posted September 21, 2014 (edited) I love this Horween Essex. It smells great. Just a little thick but still worked out. It's one piece so I didn't have to stitch the bottom - way better than using two pieces. Lin Cable thread 9 stitches per inch. Rolled handles also hand stitched. The handles have 6mm leather cord inside. Fenice edge paint. Edited September 21, 2014 by thefanninator

MonicaJacobson Report post Posted September 22, 2014 Those straps look great! Where'd you get the leather cord? I love the tote. I'd lean towards english bridle ends for the strap ends, but that's just personal.
thefanninator Report post Posted September 22, 2014 (edited) I've never used any English bridle leather. Have to give it a try soon. Thanks! I got the leather cord at Leather Cord USA. http://www.leathercordusa.com/index.html Edited September 22, 2014 by thefanninator
MonicaJacobson Report post Posted September 22, 2014 Whoops, sorry, I meant the shape of the ends, where your handle meets the tote, like this: http://hypebeast.com/2011/7/roberu-ground-leather-tote Of course, yours is sewn on much more thoroughly, and I realize more than 50% of tote handles are squared off. So yes, not a criticism, just personal preference. I wish I could say I had used english bridle leather. Hopefully in the next year. Thanks for the leather cord info, and thread info in the other thread. I appreciate it.
