Members xStarkweather Posted September 24, 2014 Members Report Posted September 24, 2014 The title says it all, It is simple enough that all you need is a knife and some leather to make it. No sewing, No rivets. I am thinking of taking this down to a smaller scale with a thinner leather, then skiving off a bit to make the tab less bulky on the back. If you burnish it all once its together you could make a pretty decent ring without any bulky rivets or sew lines. The bracelet laid out Close up of the tab in place. Another angle. (sorry for the blur) Should I be a hand model? (sidenote- I didnt burnish the sides here, I like the freshly cut look, just seems more beefy.) Quote
Members Halitech Posted September 24, 2014 Members Report Posted September 24, 2014 looks really good and very ingenious way of closing it. Only thing I would suggest is picking up an oval punch to make the hole a little more even instead of punching multiple round holes Quote

Members Halitech Posted September 25, 2014 Members Report Posted September 25, 2014 I look forward to v2 using the oval punch I have a couple of different sizes, they are very handy for a lot of things like guitar straps and stitchless bags using strips Quote
Members Windrider30 Posted September 25, 2014 Members Report Posted September 25, 2014 I like that idea! Quote
Members xStarkweather Posted September 26, 2014 Author Members Report Posted September 26, 2014 I like that idea! Me too, I know its not the normal "show off" piece, but I was proud of figuring out a way to do it without any rivets/sewing. Quote
Members builderofstuff Posted September 26, 2014 Members Report Posted September 26, 2014 (edited) I really like it. I once made an oval punch by sharpening one end of a piece of tubing then flattening it in the vise. Edited September 26, 2014 by builderofstuff Quote
