Members xxsjuxx Posted September 24, 2014 Members Report Posted September 24, 2014 Well this is my 2nd project overall, and my first project from scratch(no pre punched/cut tandy kits) I know I flubbed up on a couple things, but overall happy with it. My first wallet was a tandy kit, and took me, 10 hours start to finish, this one only took 5. The outer piece of leather is pretty thick, just because it was all I had available at the time, and no way to really shave it down. Quote

Members msdeluca Posted September 26, 2014 Members Report Posted September 26, 2014 Nice... nice... nice tooling and dye job. How did you fade the color on the skull? Quote
Members builderofstuff Posted September 26, 2014 Members Report Posted September 26, 2014 Turned out fantastic Quote
Members xxsjuxx Posted September 26, 2014 Author Members Report Posted September 26, 2014 Thanks for the kind words! msdeluca, I used a super sheen leather finish and coated it a couple times on just the skull, then did all my other dye's and then when i sealed the whole project, it pulled some of the dye down onto the skull. Before the final coat of finishes, the skull was pretty much veg tan colored. Quote
