This is my 4th guitar strap to make...I made this for a Fender Telecaster that I am building. It does have flaws, but I am trying to learn from them...lol

Looks really good ... Nice and clean. Congrats on the Tele build! When you finish it be sure to post a pic of your strap on the guitar! :)

It looks good to me; I like how you stitched around all the slots. Yes, please post pics of your telecaster when you finish!

Looks like your 40th!

Only one comment. I'd put a 3/4" slot with a small round hole at the end coming off the peg hole away from the end of the strap. That will make connecting and removing your straps easier and will wear better with time as there will be no distorting the hole just to install the strap. IMHO a simple hole will loosen with time possibly to the point of letting the guitar fall off.

I too wanna see your strap ~on~ your new axe!

Thanks,

Michelle

Thank you all for the kind comments!!!

Michelle, I am going to install a strap lock on it. When I took the pic I had not installed it yet.

Ah. That makes perfect sense. :)

I got into leatherworking by making guitar straps for the custom guitars I was building and selling. Building guitars is very rewarding, and every custom guitar needs a custom strap.

I like the texture you got on the strap, also the dark colour with light stitch contrast.

Nice job
