At a short flap that folds to turnlock is main, large compartment with detachable lining made of cordura. Under long flap closed by magnets is lower chamber. At this point we build in an organizer and pocket for A4 format. Sling is mounted on a brass, rotating swivel so that the bag can be turn around with one hand. Bag is made of vegetable tanned leather, lining is soft swine leather, carvings and stiches- handmade. Edited November 6, 2014 by northmount

silverwingit Report post Posted November 6, 2014 Abraham, that is an absolutely beautiful bag! What fine craftsmanship throughout. I am always faced with the decision of just how to treat edges on any given piece, particularly when it is lined. Often, especially with thin, pliable leather burnishing is not the best option. I am quite impressed with how clean and tidy your edges are. It looks like you didn't try to burnish them. Whatever the case, you made the right choice for this bag. Would you mind sharing some details about your edge treatment for this gorgeous piece? Many Thanks, Michelle

billybopp Report post Posted November 7, 2014 Really nice bag! I've never seen one quite like it, and I've never seen a gusset done that way before, with one side turned inward and the other outward! Well done! Bill

Abraham Report post Posted November 7, 2014 I use edge beveler (edger) to make edges round, then smothed it using plastic block. At the end I put on a layer of "water glue" (dont's know how it is in eng) to protect it from pilling.
