Members Stitch Dex Holsters Posted February 24, 2015 Members Report Posted February 24, 2015 (edited) For Christmas this year my brother got me a Leatherman Wave. This was very uncharacteristic for him and will be something I will always cherish. With that said, I love it, but the case left a lot to be desired. A simple nylon pouch, sooooooooo that had to go. I seen a YouTube video by Leodis Leather and got inspired, if you are new to leather craft you should check him out. His videos are great and he only asks for donations. I have paid for videos that weren't anywhere as informative. (I am not affiliated with him.....except for leaving a donation )Anyway here is what I ended up with.....As always Thanks for looking Edited February 24, 2015 by Stitch Dex Holsters Quote
Members Tramps Leatherworking Posted February 24, 2015 Members Report Posted February 24, 2015 That is quite nice, how did you achieve the dye pattern, if you don't mind me asking... Quote
Members Rohn Posted February 24, 2015 Members Report Posted February 24, 2015 Very nice job on that case. I like the dye job, and the stitching is great. Quote
Members GrampaJoel Posted February 24, 2015 Members Report Posted February 24, 2015 Very nice case! I'm impressed with everything about it. I think the fact that you lined it is very nice touch. Nice job! Joel Quote
Members Stitch Dex Holsters Posted February 24, 2015 Author Members Report Posted February 24, 2015 Thanks Guys, Tramps....The dye pattern is made using a sponge, just dabbing around until you get the look you want. Then I blend everything using an airbrush. The base color is saddle tan and the darker is dark brown. The process works with other color combos too. Quote
Members DuaneS Posted February 24, 2015 Members Report Posted February 24, 2015 Wow! That's just Too nice for a leatherman. Quote
