jstar61 Report post Posted February 26, 2015 My first attempt at a holster. Made some mistakes, but overall I think the pattern worked well and the retention is good so I'm pleased with my first attempt. 7/8 oz. Herman Oak, Tiger thread, Eco-flo gel antigue. Dwight Report post Posted February 26, 2015 Just a word of caution, . . . be careful about molding the trigger guard real deep on striker fired weapons. That trigger can move very quickly with very little pressure, . . . and of course you understand the effects of that happening. But, . . . otherwise, . . . it certainly is a ton better than my first one. May God bless, Dwight PS: I still have it, . . . but NOBODY sees it. JLSleather Report post Posted February 26, 2015 (edited) Tough to tell from your picture... is that a model 19, or the 27? Edited February 26, 2015 by JLSleather
snubbyfan Report post Posted February 26, 2015 Very nice for a first holster. Much better than my first pathetic attempt. That's either a 26 or a 27. The 19 has a three finger grip.
jstar61 Report post Posted February 26, 2015 Thanks everyone. It's a 26. I checked the molding at the trigger guard, and it's not as deep as it looks in the pic. I tried and couldn't make it even catch on the trigger when pressing in on it.

Tramps Leatherworking Report post Posted February 27, 2015 Not bad, I'm sure you learned a lot from the experience, and your next holster will be better for it, enjoy the ride!
dakotawolf Report post Posted September 10, 2015 What thickness Tiger Thread did you use? I'm thinking of trying some, but I have to order it. I'm not sure which width to get for stitching holsters.
