Avion Report post Posted March 22, 2015 I sold 5 of these at work last week. I didn't make much ($25 a piece), but it paid for materials, and more importantly, gives me PRACTICE! I want to thank everyone for the help I have received here. I have a long, long way to go but my stitches and sewing beginning to look a little better. Thanks to all! Instinctive Report post Posted March 22, 2015 Practice is a good thing and not settling for "good enough" even more important. I've been away from leather for the past 20 years and am practicing myself making stuff from my old scrap bin tryin gto remember how I did it and how to improve. Avion Report post Posted March 23, 2015 Thanks Kiwi, but you should have seen the last couple of wallets, pretty rank.... I have kept telling myself and learning (mostly from screwing up), that the next one will be better than this one. So far, I have improved with each project, (of course it's hard to go backward when you are a rank amateur).
Ronan6ix Report post Posted March 27, 2015 Nice and simple, you can't beat $25 a piece for something you enjoy doing. For me it is breaking out and actually allowing people to buy what I make. I just want to make something that will last 10 years or more and will not sell anything less than the best I can do.
