Members tossik Posted May 19, 2015 Members Report Posted May 19, 2015 Hi everyone, finished a simple money clip wallet the other day and just wanted to share 2-3 oz Hermann Oak natural leather, Homemade wax/oil mix for finish. Burnished edges. Monogrammed it later (not in photo). This was very quick wallet to make. took about 5-10 minutes. Pockets hold around 3 cards each, and money clip is good for around 10+ bills. Let me know what you think! Quote
King's X Posted May 19, 2015 Report Posted May 19, 2015 Sweet! On a second try, rotate the pocket direction 180 degrees. I think you will find that way to be more convenient. Just give it a try! Quote

King's X Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 My cards have never fallen out.....I have been using it off and on for almost two years. Quote
Members tossik Posted May 20, 2015 Author Members Report Posted May 20, 2015 Oh I am sure you're right, this is mainly style option that's all. Not saying your way is wrong Quote
Members MonicaJacobson Posted May 22, 2015 Members Report Posted May 22, 2015 Cool! You might also want to move your stitching a little closer to the edge. Other than that, it looks great. Quote

I am with you on the stitching. I was using an edge guide, and it was all the way up to the walking foot. I will install a zipper foot for the next one to get closer stitch. Quote
Members dfrensdorff Posted June 14, 2015 Members Report Posted June 14, 2015 Very nice. Can I ask where you got the clip? Quote
Members tossik Posted June 15, 2015 Author Members Report Posted June 15, 2015 I get them off eBay. Tandy sells them too but for more. Quote
King's X Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 I believe that Springfield leather also has the clips for sale Quote
Members tossik Posted June 15, 2015 Author Members Report Posted June 15, 2015 very nice job Thank you! All domestic stores sell them around 7x the price as ebay..so if you need 1 and want it to come within 5 days, then domestic it is. But for price and quantity, I would recommend ebay Quote
