tossik Report post Posted June 4, 2015 Hi guys, I ordered some 138 and 207 Solar Guard Thread from Superior Threads, and it's been sewing good, sometimes it bundles up at the needle (maybe my issue), but I am planning on purchasing a few more colors, and want to see if anyone else is using some other thread that they like better? I have not used any other brand so I cant compare. At $21 a spool it seems like a decent price, but I want to make sure I am getting good product; not that I have seen any issues with what I have right now. Thoughts? JLSleather Report post Posted June 4, 2015 Yep, I use some. Thread Exchange got several brands, too - and the service is good.
AmyAmy Report post Posted June 7, 2015 I use Superior for quilting and love it. Good quality and they stand behind their product. Let us know how you like it.
JREESER1 Report post Posted June 7, 2015 I have bought their polyester in 138, 207 and 277, mostly because they had the exact color I wanted. I am pleasantly surprised with the product and the great service and the fact I saved $2.00 on each one pound spool. I will definitely, buy from them again. jr

suzelle Report post Posted June 3, 2016 (edited) Hello all, I know this thread is a year old, but glad to see it. I was just checking to see if any of you had used the Solar Guard thread yet. Thanks for your input. I'm going to give it a try. Not sure if you can get it in 4 oz or 8 oz size, but if not, I'd get the 1 lb. cones in the thread colors I use most. I had used Superior threads a few years ago for quilting purposes, and I was quite happy. This time, I need something for outdoor use items, canopy covers and such. I will try to remember to come back to this thread and give my thoughts on the Solar Guard Thread when I get some. Again, many thanks too all of you!
