Contributing Member JLSleather Posted December 10, 2019 Author Contributing Member Report Posted December 10, 2019 (edited) SHOOT.. guess ya gotta hit "upload" before anybody kin see it ? DoubleMag_Layout.pdf Don't forget... ya need GOOD mag molds? Talk to @wayner - got a number of models and can do others if ya got a real mag to work with. Molded as if they's LOADED (seriously,, WHO carries an empty mag anyway?@!)... I own a number of his already - Glock, Springfield, Sig, Bersa, Ruger, S/W... ask him what all he got over there! Members Double Daddy Posted December 11, 2019 Members Report Posted December 11, 2019 Thanks, Jeff (once again!), for your time in putting together this document for the community...most appreciated! Quote Have a great day! Chris
Contributing Member JLSleather Posted December 12, 2019 Author Contributing Member Report Posted December 12, 2019 Welcome! That pretty simple to follow? I want to try to git sum stuff "out there" for the boys 'n' girls who know some stuff, but want to know more stuff. Internets is INUNDATED with videos, "classes", how-to's, that all show how to trace around a gun (real or otherwise). But I AM going to make that one soon... where I trace around my hand just like when I was four ... Also been trying out a drafting program lately.. wonder if it might be faster than PS or IL. Reason being, I have a caliper that measures in inches and millimeters, but not in pixels ... Quote "Observation is 9/10 of the law." Members Double Daddy Posted December 12, 2019 Members Report Posted December 12, 2019 Been using AutoCAD for years so it's just easier for me to work with...draw what I want, line-wise (solid, dashed, phantom, etc), then print/plot it out to full-scale on paper or pdf. Too bad the software is so expensive (at least from AutoDesk)...it seems the tech marketing game is to sell you something "broke" now so's they can sell you the "fix" in six months Quote Have a great day! Just thought maybe if some you boys 'n' gals was using PS or IL, might want a copy of this digital graph paper I use. No matter... it's very basic (but useful) stuff that anybody could do (and maybe already did). JLS, I just finished a training class on using Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. If you would be willing to share the graph paper still I would certainly appreciate it. I thought that Illustrator might be useful for designing holsters, and other leather items. Yep, you can have this template. It's quite simple to use, simple to make in fact... I would hope that if somebody CHARGED YOU for a class that they taught you AT LEAST this! I don't know how long or how many 'lessons' you did, but I've never had any "training" and I can do this, so I assume anybody can Now, if somebody can just explain ta me why .. if you want to rotate a feature, you use the 'edit' menu, but to rotate the whole drawing you use the "image' menu .... Contributing Member JLSleather Posted December 18, 2019 Author Contributing Member Report Posted December 18, 2019 !#%$!!@#! Software "upgrades"! Everything seems to work just as it did before, but now the "button" you need to click looks different and is in a different spot. What was the point of that.. try to irritate the customer into using some OTHER software?@! I assure you.. making regular changes to your $3-digit software is NOT an incentive to get me to buy your $4-digit software. Quote "Observation is 9/10 of the law." The stuff I learned was specifically geared toward the creation of logos, advertising materials and business cards. I understand the frustration with the various commands and how they work. I just upgraded or updated or whatever .. some other software for designing - not PS. That button that looked like that in the top right of the screen now does exactly teh same thing it did before, but the button looks different and its in the top left of the screen. You have to wonder what the point was ... It'll be fine... just a bit of a time killer Quote "Observation is 9/10 of the law."
