This was a contest project from earlier this year. I modified it some so that i could give it to my grandaughter when it was completed. It turned out well enough except for the loss of color. The stain was applied before the resist had properly set. Patience is key. Emilly is happy with it so I am happy with it.

Looks great, I would be proud of it too if my grandpa made me one. She will treasure it always.

The paint job really does not look that bad. It toned it down a bit but still looks very nice.

Thank you all for your reviews and comments. My carving has a long way to go to equal what is see on this site. One project at a time.
