stelmackr Report post Posted September 29, 2015 Looks great. Like the lacing instead of sewing--fits the style. Bob Stelmack

Smahon03 Report post Posted September 30, 2015 Can I ask what type of antique you use? And what type of finish give it such nice gloss?
Rohn Report post Posted September 30, 2015 Thanks everyone for the great replies, they are much appreciated. Smahon03, I dye my leather with Fiebings Professional Oil dye. Then I whip-stitch the holster together, wet the leather and form it to the gun. Once this is dry I give it a good coat of Fiebings Tan-kote. After that is dry I use Fiebings Antique Finish. I wipe a good coat on and make sure it is in all the tool impressions and then immediately wipe it off with a paper towel and let this dry. Next I coat it again with Tan-kote and when dry I lace it up again and give it a third and final coat of Tan-kote. This gives the antique finish a good sealant and the holster good overall shine. Hope this helps. Any other questions, I'll be glad to answer.
