Wraith Report post Posted November 6, 2015 So, my wife drops a change purse she found at the store in front of me and asks, "Could you make one of these?" Challenge accepted. Thank you for looking. Brian

MonicaJacobson Report post Posted November 6, 2015 Ha, I bet all those fiddly tiny pieces were a pain. Nice job.
Wraith Report post Posted November 7, 2015 Troy, Thank you. Monica, Thank you, the small pieces weren't too bad. Stitching the back on was a pain. I think next time I will try to stitch it inside out. Not sure how successful I will be in turning it back right side out. Brian
Ole South Report post Posted November 7, 2015 (edited) You don't have to turn the work, Wraith. Use a jerk awl and lock stitch for those small, confined spaces. You could stick a sewing machine needle into a dowel rod handle (like a speed stitcher) for really fine work but it's a challenge to find the needle loop inside sometimes... the jerk awl pulls the back thread (i.e. bobbin thread on a sewing machine) through to the front making a loop. It's a lot easier to find a thread inside with the awl hook than thread a loop in a tight dark space. Btw.... that's a cute piece! Well done. Wraith Report post Posted November 8, 2015 Thank you Ole South. I will definitely look in to using the jerk awl. Brian
