Are there any readily available alphabet stamps that are a different font than the same 2-3 you see sold at Tandy?

they show up quite often... I don't know how many styles they currently sell at tandy... but you do see other brands here. Although sometimes you need to buy a collection or lot.. take what you want and sell the rest

There is an endless supply of lead printing type available in different fonts and size. It works far better and is way more consistent than any leather stamps on the market. The only real difference is you need to press it in instead of hammering it in. Another big difference is that it is cheaper. Look up letterpress on Craig's list or eBay.
