Is It Possible To Cut Crocodile Leather With Some Machine?

Hello

I am wondering, is there a machine (for example laser cutter or something) that could cut with precision genuine croc leather to a specific shape?

If yes, any advice to a complete newbie would be highly appreciated.

you can cut it with a laser. I use a laser for other leather cutting. I can't afford a 1500 dollar croc hide so i have never tried to cut it. (we have a few at work) You can also use a scroll saw... scalpel or xacto knife

If it's something you will repeat many times, you can't really beat a steel die and pneumatic press.

I have not tried the following, but I have seen videos online where people get good results with thin leathers:

I think if you are doing the same shape over and over again, a clicker press and clicker dies are the way to go for sure. If you are doing one off stuff, and have a band saw, you can buy a razor edge blade for the band saw. Those big bumps on the croc make it tough to cut precise.

What kind of laser do you have biglew? I have been interested in getting one to cut/engrave some things.
