I have a chance to buy into some new Atkins walking foot sewing machines out of a factory that is closing down. Anyone know anything about them. Who builds them, capabilities, any good, etc. Thank you, all. Ken

I guess it is a relabeled sewing machine. Some pictures would probably help to ID the machine

I know this is an old thread, but......

Anything on identifying this model Atkins?00000_64SGnyIjaS9_600x450.jpg.4440e9a265daea3577781218c8f12989.jpg

Looks like a juki, but I don't know which model. Thanks

I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with.

Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day.

Just a lighter duty walker style and in their materials work fine. Ive seen 1181's used in light canvas as a starter and work ok. I know juki made many for factory setting, so like us they did the cost thing and for them operations worked. We can get a better walker/compound and lighten up the presser n tension if need be. Like for many different upholstery textiles that like/demand a lighter foot presser.

Good day
