JLSleather Report post Posted January 10, 2016 How do blue guns ordered from NY, shipped to IA, somehow end up in CA?
NVLeatherWorx Report post Posted January 11, 2016 That would depend on who you ordered them from and who is doing the shipping. I know that sounds kind of off but I have had the same question of late regarding some of my orders. Recently had one that included several of the same item (a total of 9); 6 shipped from the business where I ordered them; 2 shipped from a supplier in Kentucky; the last one shipped directly from the manufacturer. I was only billed one time and only paid one shipping price but it didn't help that I had to wait for a span of 10 days for one order to arrive just because of staggered shipping that was literally all over the place. By the way, it was also three different shipping carriers as well. How does that work out?
veedub3 Report post Posted January 11, 2016 This could all be the Post Office doing if that is how it was shipped. Those jookers miss-route packages so much I don't even get mad anymore.
NVLeatherWorx Report post Posted January 11, 2016 They aren't the only one that does it. I have had items shipped via UPS from the Sacramento area to be delivered to me outside of the Reno, NV area (I am just East of Reno by about 45 miles) and it went to LA first, then Las Vegas, on to Salt Lake City and finally arrived in Reno. We are about 2 1/2 hours from Sacramento. I have had stuff shipped from the Seattle area via FedEx go to Texas before eventually coming back up through California and then to me also. Makes you wonder if someone screwed up or they just that bad of a logistics chain.
veedub3 Report post Posted January 11, 2016 NVLeaherworx, yeah they are just that bad. I ship anywhere from 300 to 350 packages a month with USPS and another 100 or so with FedEX. "THEY ARE THAT BAD!" My packages sometimes are all over the place that each morning I enter my office, the first thing I do is go online and look at the status of the packages that were shipped the previous day - just to prepare myself just in case. Because if a package doesn't show up on time, guess who gets an ear full from the customer. Once we hand over the package to the carrier, we are at their mercy in hopes that they do their job in an efficient manner, and it's sad to say that they screw up A LOT! The post office is so bad, it really makes me wonder who they have working over there.
Art Report post Posted January 11, 2016 It's crazy, folks seem to have lost control. I order something for a ridiculous low price and it gets shipped from the manufacturer 2nd day Air. The shipping cost more than the item and they paid the shipping. I hate to say it, but I am using Amazon a lot because of shipping, and most times FREE 2 day, and they count Saturdays and Sundays! Jeesh, it wasn't THAT important. Then there are the put it in the hopper on one end and it never comes out the other. Put in tracking complaint and shipper paid or I got another one, just know I didn't pay. TWO YEARS later, the package arrives. Was told by sender (keep it, we just don't want to do the paperwork, $485 item, hey Ok Boy Howdy). Of course there is the other side when I'm the shipper.
