5 Spice Report post Posted January 14, 2016 Well, I finally grew tired of using my substandard edge creaser. I thought of shelling out for the Vergez Blanchard model, but just couldn't part with the cash so I decided to make my own. Solid brass construction with beech wood insert. Threaded brass rivets hold it together and knurled brass knob for adjusting the width. Works like a charm and feels miles better that my old "Tandy" creaser. Wicked Welts Report post Posted January 14, 2016 Nicely done! I was considering doing this same thing only starting with a pair of cheap butter knives. I think it's time to give it a go - thanks for sharing.
Nuttish Report post Posted January 14, 2016 Were you adapting an existing tool to this purpose or did you fabricate those parts? Nice tool!
5 Spice Report post Posted January 15, 2016 Were you adapting an existing tool to this purpose or did you fabricate those parts? Nice tool! Hi Nuttish. I fabricated everything but the knurled knob. I had that laying about in the shop.

fasn8ya Report post Posted February 12, 2016 can you elaborate more on the difference in using a cheap creaser vs a quality one? Is the end result a lot different?
