Members jdconn Posted January 27, 2016 Members Report Posted January 27, 2016 Hello Everyone, I'm writing this post to say a big thank you to everyone on the forum for all your help.... Whether you answered a question or I got help from ceaseless stalking everyone's posts! I have been working with leather for about 10 months now and just started selling some holsters to help pay for my new-found habit. As I was working out in my shop I found a couple of my first attempts and I lined them up with one of my most current holsters that I carry every day.... As you all know, we learn from each project we complete and these were no exception to that rule. One of the first things I learned was not to consume too many adult beverages while working! Forget walking a straight line.... Let's see you saddle stitch straight on a good one. Anyway... I know any progress I have made is thanks in big part to this forum so I thought I would share a picture of the three holsters. Quote

Members doubleh Posted January 29, 2016 Members Report Posted January 29, 2016 Doin' good. I haven't made a holster in a year and a half. Guess I need to go buy another gun to have an excuse. Quote
Members tardis86 Posted January 29, 2016 Members Report Posted January 29, 2016 NICE JOB! how did you finish your edges? Quote
Members jdconn Posted January 30, 2016 Author Members Report Posted January 30, 2016 Lots of sanding and Tandys edge paint made by Fenice. I didn't have any luck with Feibings Edge Kote and tried out the paint. I was concerned about it coming off but I haven't had any problems yet... Knock on wood! Quote
Members stu925 Posted February 1, 2016 Members Report Posted February 1, 2016 Nice work, especially that last one. Definite improvement as they go along. Stu Quote
