raysouth Report post Posted April 3, 2016 After much deliberation and discussion with my beloved, I have finally reached a decision that pertains to my continued leathercraft adventure. Sadly, I have decided, that it is time to give it all up and close it out. I, along with my wonderful lady, will be gathering things together and deciding what will be sold in groups and what will be sold as single items. It would be very nice to sell everything in a single lot but after viewing attempts by others to retire and sell out in quantity, I feel that selling in groups/collections will serve my purposes at this time. I will be listing on several sites to gain the exposure I feel I need to move it all and it will require some time to put together the listings, take pics, etc; so will be rather drawn out at my limited speed capability. I have enjoyed all of the time I have been fortunate enough to have in the craft and hope to tag along as a retiree, so to speak. I have met many wonderful folks on the site and enjoyed everything that has come my way. Memories are treasures for me and hope that you experience the same as you pass through the great experience of life. Thank you all for the understanding and kindness you have shown to everyone in the past and know it feels good to have helped many others along the way. God Bless you all. Dwight Report post Posted April 3, 2016 Ray, . . . please don't be a stranger here, . . . you may not be "creating" anything on the production table, . . . but your vault of expertise can be profoundly useful here to many of us. I'm actually looking at the same situation in a year, . . . maybe 2, . . . maybe 3, . . . but for sure within the next 5. Seems like every project took so much longer than the one before it did, . . . and my arms aren't quite long enough to get stuff out there where I can see it anymore Take care, . . . may God bless, Dwight
raysouth Report post Posted April 4, 2016 Hello Bob and Dwight, I have enjoyed meeting you on the site and hope I will be able to visit for some time yet. It was a difficult decision but I believe that it is the way I must travel now. Hard to think of letting go but know I am not the only one that has had to face this situation. Always been very active and met many great folks along the way, never being able to get enough of life and all of the wonderful things that came along with it. So many experiences just waiting for us to take advantage of the thrill of learning something new and creative. I have found that one experience leads to more interesting experiences as we become involved. All of the leather crafters have surely found many other items of interest as they created those beautiful items. Suppose I have been one of those addicted to learning. Wish I had paid better attention when I was a wee lad but you know, at that time in life I thought I had all the answers. lol. I could go on and on about things for a long time to come but best to just say, "Thank you, from the bottom of my heart", to all of you that have taken the time to share a moment of your life. Time is so precious and you have taken some of that non renewable treasure and offered it to me with no strings attached. Doesn't get any better than that. God Bless. Mike516 Report post Posted April 4, 2016 Sorry to hear that Ray. In the brief time that we spoke, you seemed like a genuine person, which unfortunately is becoming a more rare commodity these days. Although we couldn't agree on a price for the item in question, I did enjoy the discussions. I welcome you any time to drop me a line if just to say hello. Incidentally, I wound up taking your advice and I bought one new All the best to you. Mike

As I was searching through things in the shop, I came upon the newest catalog of Beilers and they have a couple of the burnishers listed in their catalog now. great tools a extremely well made. As I divest myself of all I own, I hope to be around the site and on others, taking care of the listings II will have posted. It is a chore but will get it done, albeit rather slowly. Hope to chat with you again. God Bless. Ray
