Members Marshal Jamison Posted June 1, 2016 Members Report Posted June 1, 2016 Has anyone ever purchased a burnisher from Leatherburnishers.com? I am looking at the holster makers special Quote
rawcustom Posted June 2, 2016 Report Posted June 2, 2016 The owner is member on here and a great guy to deal with. I have a drill press burnisher and use it all the time. I also have one of his mauls and absolutely love it. Both are top notch in quality of fit and finish, and function beautifully. They are also extremely reasonable on price. I tend to make a lot of my own tools, and I can say that these would have cost me more in $ and a healthy dose of time for me to try to make. Quote
MADMAX22 Posted June 4, 2016 Report Posted June 4, 2016 Ive got the holster makers special (the older version) and it works great. They are nice tools to have. While your at it order a bearman maul if ya can float it. Love mine. Quote
bikermutt07 Posted June 5, 2016 Report Posted June 5, 2016 Thanks for this thread. I hope to order some of their products as soon as I can swing it. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Members Colt W Knight Posted June 5, 2016 Members Report Posted June 5, 2016 Ive got the holster makers burnisher from there. Works great, and is made really well. Shipping took longer than expected. Quote
Members Marshal Jamison Posted June 6, 2016 Author Members Report Posted June 6, 2016 Thank you all for the your reply's I have ordered the Holster Makers Special and two of the dremel burnishers. Now I just have to be patient and wait for it. May have to get one of the mauls at a later time. I have never used a maul have always used a mallet. Quote
Members xshadowx Posted June 10, 2016 Members Report Posted June 10, 2016 Does anyone know if there is a problem with Leatherburnishers.com? I placed an order for a Holster Makers Special but it took two months to get an invoice and it has been two more months since my order was placed. Still haven't received it yet and I can get no response from them. I am torn as to what to do about the order at this point. Any thoughts? Quote

It's not really a "them", its one guy with another job and some health problems I believe making and shipping everything. Pretty typical of these hobby type production side jobs, they get busy and overwhelmed with orders and things slip the cracks. Not saying it is acceptable or anything. Quote

I have had a similar situation in the past full time and side job all people want is some kind of contact to let them know what is going on. Hoping we are not left paying for something and not getting what we paid for. Quote
Members xshadowx Posted June 10, 2016 Members Report Posted June 10, 2016 I understand that it is just one person. I just thought that it would be nice to get a response to emails so that I would know the status of an order. After months go by, you wonder what's going on. Plus, I would like to try the burnishes.
