Members badger Posted December 25, 2008 Members Report Posted December 25, 2008 What did everyone get for Christmas? I was really fortunate this year. I got 'Packing Iron', the historic book on western gunleather, and Chick Burrows' DVDs on holster and sheath making. I now have creative asphyxiation, knowing I'll never have time to make eveything I want to. How did you guys make out? Cheers, Karl Quote

Members Kevin Posted December 25, 2008 Members Report Posted December 25, 2008 Nothin' yet, but today marks the thirty sixth anniversary of my mother getting me the Let's Do Modern Leathercraft Kit. I don't think a day has gone by since then that I haven't thought about or done something with leather. I think it has affected every facet of my life, when I was married, my wife's wedding band was three shades of gold in a braid. 99% of the people I know are either involved with horses or directly with leather in one way or another. Where was I going? Oh yeah, so it is the gift that has given me almost everything over the years and I couldn't ask for more. Kevin Quote

Moderator bruce johnson Posted December 25, 2008 Moderator Report Posted December 25, 2008 I got an old HF Osborne Latta pattern draw gauge. I don't really collect any tools that aren't a user, and this one looks like a hundred year old plus user too. Fits the hand well, and easily adjusted.
