Hey Guys

What are you using for a mold for the Rock Island Armory 1911 Railed Model. I just found out the rail is different than the rail on the springfield railed blue gun.

No mold that I know of right now.  The rail if full length, all the way to the front.  And the frame is squared off without the cut out of the standard 1911.  I've turned a couple down, but have not had a lot of requests for them.  Unless you can get the gun, or fake the rail on a railed 1911 it's going to be hard to do a well molded holster.  Maybe something more generic?

I have used a paint stir stick carved to match the shape/size and location of the rail. The owner of the pistol should be able to supply you with a photo and needed measurements. You really don't need to cut in the mounting groves.

I did the paint stick thing as well for a railed Champion a couple of years ago. The buyer sent me multiple pictures with a ruler along  side the firearm. He said it fit just fine.

I have an aluminum mold gun that is molded from an RIA that I have used to make a few holsters from, if you need to use it I can send it to you just shoot me a pm with your shipping info, one note though it is a full length model not a compact, so just let me know.

That is amazingly generous of you to offer!!!!! He has decided to just bring me his gun since he is excited about getting something with some sort of star wars theme. Thank you for your very kind offer!
