Members awnova Posted July 18, 2016 Members Report Posted July 18, 2016 Hello everyone! It's been a while since I've posted anything here, though I've been plenty busy. Always learning something new! I made these cinch safes recently and am pretty happy with how they turned out. But... I don't really have the detail stuff down yet. I'm never exactly sure what shades to use or where to put my detail cuts. Any suggestions? Quote
Members awnova Posted July 26, 2016 Author Members Report Posted July 26, 2016 Bump. No tips at all? Hmmm, I must be perfect then Quote
bikermutt07 Posted July 26, 2016 Report Posted July 26, 2016 I'm new to carving so I didn't want to post a critique. Plus, I don't know what they are. But, they are pretty. Quote
Members Colt W Knight Posted July 26, 2016 Members Report Posted July 26, 2016 I really like them. I prefer larger thread on saddle stuff. Quote
Members AngieNZ Posted July 26, 2016 Members Report Posted July 26, 2016 Only a beginner here too but they look good. Where and how are they used? Quote
Members cowboycolonel Posted September 22, 2016 Members Report Posted September 22, 2016 If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Those look great, but I don't use them and nobody I know does, except for "show people". I too like larger stitching on saddle items. I use 5 stitches per inch and in this case, I'd be certain to cut a stitch groove. I also prefer white (natural) thread color on saddle items that are going to be saddle tan or lighter. These are beautiful. Quote
