Hi everyone! I would like to show you the leather hat I've done in december last year. I love hats in general, got Jacaru and Hanschel in leather are very nice hats. So I wanted to make something in different style. When i saw steampunk hats I thought Hmm... it's interesting... i can make somthing like that. I liked two Marlow and Bromley and i took general design from Marlow and brass buckle from Bromley. About materials it's cow hide 5-6 oz combined tanning, solid brass buckle, twill lining.

I made lining in it several times ago but didn't make a pic. I'll share a bit later.

I like the design/style.  Your stitching looks nice.  My only critique is to suggest that you sew closer to the edges, you will get a more professional, finished look.

Hi,

I love the hat and it looks great!

On the next one....use 2 way tape to stick the seams "off cut" down and hammer the seam flat after the stitching has been done (specially the top of the hat)

It also helps to get the seam nice and flat if you make "slots" in the raw edge - it's almost a must do on circles.
