Contributing Member JLSleather Posted August 17, 2016 Contributing Member Report Posted August 17, 2016 Bout all that's left I could find of Wickett / Craig chestnut skirting (guess i gotta call and spend more money). Anyway, the fit is purdy good. Gotta do some cosmetic 'purdyin' up" in the file itself, and pattern should be up on cutesy couple days (ish). Go on admit it.. ya like the way that stitch line sits up on the rig ... Quote

Members TSes Posted August 18, 2016 Members Report Posted August 18, 2016 What's your secret to get such clean mold lines around the trigger guard and slide? Tom Quote
Contributing Member JLSleather Posted August 19, 2016 Author Contributing Member Report Posted August 19, 2016 Whatcha mean by "clean"? You talkin' bout the stitch lines up close? Cuz that's stitchin' BEFORE moldin'. and then a good bonin' tool. Quote
Contributing Member JLSleather Posted August 19, 2016 Author Contributing Member Report Posted August 19, 2016 And while I don't think it's the same issue, I can't be the only one who thinks it's not okay to have wrinkles on there.-- no, not even on the back. Quote
Pounder Posted August 19, 2016 Report Posted August 19, 2016 Excellent work, as always. Really love your patterns too. Quote
Contributing Member JLSleather Posted August 19, 2016 Author Contributing Member Report Posted August 19, 2016 Thanks, Boss. I'll tell the wife she was wrong, I DID do something that worked Quote
Members GrampaJoel Posted August 20, 2016 Members Report Posted August 20, 2016 Your colors are so perfect. Do you use factory colored leather? Quote
Contributing Member JLSleather Posted August 20, 2016 Author Contributing Member Report Posted August 20, 2016 Sometimes. The first one is W/C drum-dyed chestnut skirting.. comes that way. The chocolate brown pancake style and the black with the elephant I dyed myself. And the black with white stitching came already dyed black (again, W/C skirting). Quote
Moderator immiketoo Posted August 24, 2016 Moderator Report Posted August 24, 2016 Nice looking rig, and you're right about the no wrinkle policy. No bueno. Quote
