Austyn Report post Posted September 19, 2016 Hello, I use 10-11oz Heavy Hermann Oak leather to make belts, suspenders, dog leashes, dog collars, ETC. I rub palm leaf wax into the leather. Then, beewax mixed with neatsfoots oil. To protect against moisture it is then finished with acrylic leather sheen. The edges are then, burnished and waxed by hand. Feed back would be nice and if anyone recommend changing this method at all, please say so! Thank you, Wolves leather Austyn.
thefanninator Report post Posted September 19, 2016 Nice and simple. A crease down the edges would look nice. Is the buckle stitched on or riveted? Your photography is great.

AussieMade Report post Posted September 20, 2016 Very nice dress belts. Simple and efficient. Also wondering if you stitch or rivet your buckles? Would love to see more of your work.
impulse Report post Posted September 20, 2016 Good looking belts. One criticism is that the first hole is too close to the end of these belts - if the buckle tongue was in this last hole, the end would not reach the keeper! I always allow 4" to 5" (10 to 12cm). Cheers, Lois

Jess Jones Report post Posted December 14, 2016 Looks great! Maybe create another version with a blunt tip and tapered corners that lead to the blunt tip? This will give you and customer options and keep things interesting for you. But they do look wonderful. Great job!
