Nice! And your bouncing back. Now lets see what you can do with your new purchase. I look forward to seeing your creative side back and ramping up. Sorry for your loss, but I'm sure that you already know that your wife would want you to get back up and enjoy life. Looks like you're making a good start. Welcome back. B)

Like getting a new sewing machine, no scrap escapes getting stitched.

Nice looking machine but I see a Fortuna behind with what I think looks like a full bell. What may I ask was the need to retire it?

retired because it's old and has a noisy clutch, always wanted a new one, so decided what the hell.

can I show you what i made last weekend, it was a design my wife started befoe she passed but didn't finish, so i tDSCF6268.JPGDSCF6271.JPGstrapless (1).JPGried to finish and build it, a few things could do with changing, but think it turned out ok, so going to give it to our daughter for xmass.. what do you think.

Nice machine and nice looking bag!  About the old skiver: if you decide to sell it please let me know: a noisy clutch doesn't bother me since I don't have any skiver :)

Your daughter will love it and I'm sure your wife is proud to see you moving again.

My wife and I lost a baby boy in 2014. I had always wanted to do Leather Work and starting to do it brought me back from the bad place. Making small items got my hands moving again.

Funny how a simple hobby can have such an effect. Our loss also propelled my wife into taking her painting more seriously. She has done her best works in the last two years.

Carry on friend.

That is going to be the best Christmas gift ever,  so much sentimental value in that, not to mention it looks great!  Absolute kudos.
